Our Philosophy
The spirit of Nissei Kyoeki––Work day by day to make benefit together––is the thoughts of the founder, Kichizo Kumagai, and the origin of our name. Based on this spirit and our business motto––Do not hope for great results from small causes, instead, work hard and do your best––we value our relationships with customers and suppliers, and sincerely respond to their trust in us.

The Thoughts Behind Our Logo

Logo

The motif of our logo is Gumyocho, a bird said to live in the Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha. The two heads of this bird each have their own thoughts. They are sometimes at odds but they constantly share one life. As with this imaginary bird, we human beings may think that we are separate from others but in fact, we are kept alive and nurtured by others who are in a different position than we are; it is said that Gumyocho embodies this important thought of Buddhism.

We believe this thought applies to business as well. The spirit of mutual benefit that we have had since our foundation––Our company, suppliers, and customers must all benefit together––and the teaching of the Gumyocho share similar thoughts. Flying freely across borders, the bird also represents our vision, i.e., the growth of Nissei, which means to produce results day by day and grow together worldwide.

Together with our customers and suppliers, we create new value and become happy together. Our Gumyocho logo represents this thought.

Our Guiding Principles for Operations

The Four-Leaf Clover, the Symbol of Happiness, of Nissei Kyoeki

We created The Ways of Nissei Kyoeki (The Four-Leaf Clover, the Symbol of Happiness, of Nissei Kyoeki) to clearly present our values and guiding principles for operations in order to realize the mission and vision of our corporate philosophy.
We strive to provide new value to society and strengthen the trust placed in us by our stakeholders and society by having all employees share the same values and guiding principles for operations, working as one team across generations, titles, and positions, and combining individual strengths to demonstrate our collective strengths.
